Frequently Asked Questions
What ages do you work with?
We provide support for individuals at every stage of life — children, teens, and adults alike. Our approach is tailored to meet each individual’s developmental needs, whether that means using play-based strategies with younger clients, supporting adolescents through transitions, or helping adults navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and purpose.
What types of concerns or conditions do you treat?
We provide support for a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, grief, and life transitions. Our therapists work with clients of all ages to help manage daily stress, improve coping skills, and navigate life’s challenges with care and understanding.
Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?
We offer both in-person and virtual sessions to fit your needs and comfort level. You’re welcome to meet in our office for face-to-face sessions or connect online from home through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. Many clients choose a mix of both, depending on their schedule and preferences.
How long are sessions?
Sessions are typically 50 minutes.
Do you take insurance?
Yes. Please contact us to confirm coverage.
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy. We’ll go over some background information, discuss your goals, and start building a sense of comfort and direction together. It’s perfectly okay if you’re not sure where to begin — the role of a clinician is to guide the conversation and help you feel supported from the very start.
How often will we meet?
Sessions are typically held weekly at first to build momentum and establish consistency in the therapeutic process. As progress is made, we can adjust the frequency together based on your needs, goals, and comfort level. Some clients continue weekly, while others move to biweekly or occasional check-ins over time.
Is everything confidential?
Yes. What you share in therapy is confidential and protected by law. Your privacy is very important, and information from our sessions will not be shared without your written permission. The only exceptions are rare situations where I am legally required to break confidentiality — such as concerns about safety or abuse — and we will always discuss these limits together.
How do I get started?
